Nigerian gospel quartet Midnight Crew was established in 2001, and their solo debut album "IGWE" was released in 2008. Pat Uwaje-King was the lead vocalist, and Mike Abdul (Alto), Gbenga Oyebola (Tenor), and Odunayo Ojo provided support (Soprano).
The Midnight Crew had declared that they wished to "put the praise of GOD on the lips of all men" in several of their music videos. Along with The Clergymen, the ensemble released the album "Fusion" shortly after.
The group will go on to release several singles and more than five albums. More than 4.1 million people have viewed the video song IGWE on YouTube. Other albums released by the group, include KING OF NATIONS in 2012 and EZE in 2013.
Numerous well-known vocalists, including Lionel Peterson, Mary-Mary, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Panam Percy Paul, Kurt Carr, Ron Kenoly, Bob Fitts, Ebenezer Obey, Israel Houghton, Tye Tribbett, Sammie Okposo, Fred Hammond, and Don Moen, will joined Midnight Crew on stage. The foursome have traveled abroad to give performances in a variety of locations, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
